MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020676 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'wearable tool holding device.'
Inventor(s) include V. K. Tyagi; Somprabh Dubey; Pradeep Sharma; and Shoyab Hussain.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable tool holding device, comprises of a curved wearable body 1 constructed with multiple extendable plates 2 and installed with chambers 3 stored with different type of tools developed to be accommodated over waist portion of a user, an ultrasonic sensor positioned on the body 1 for detecting dimensions of the user's waist, an air compressor paired with an inflatable member 5 integrated with the body 1 for inflating the member 5 to securely grip the body 1 over the user's waist, a touch enabled screen 6 installed on the body 1 for enabling the user to give input commands regarding one of the tools, a motorized slider 8 for translating the chambers 3 to position the determined chamber in proximity to the user's hand, and a speaker 11 mounted on the body 1 to generate a voice command to notify the user to access the detached tool."
