MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105000 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'wearable therapeutic device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Avnika Arren; Dr. Aman Azad; Dr. Sangeeth Somanadhapai; Dr. Sunil Singh Yadav; and Dr. Moirangthem Joychand Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable therapeutic device, comprising a wearable member 101 made from breathable, elastic material with an inner ergonomic layer contoured to the user's foot, a plurality of integrated sensors 108 including temperature, pressure, electromyography (EMG), bioimpedance, humidity, and galvanic skin response (GSR) sensors to monitor physiological parameters, a massaging unit with a motorized slider 102 and roller 103 having individually controllable vibratory tips 104 for targeted massage, a temperature-regulating unit with flexible carbon fiber heating pads, an acupressure unit with non-invasive actuating pins 109 driven by linear actuator 110 to stimulate vascular and neural pathways, a fragrance unit with a refillable reservoir 106, micro-pump, and micro- nozzles 107 to release therapeutic fragrance based on sensor signals, and a clamping unit with adjustable elastic bands 105 and piezoelectric actuators to maintain optimal fit and comfort."
