MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105051 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 30, for 'wearable snow hiking safety device.'

Inventor(s) include Ritesh Sanchala; Chandrasinh D Parmar; and Vijay Dubey.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable snow hiking safety device, comprising a body 101 worn by a user over foot portion for snow hiking, multiple rollers 102 coiled with a lace to automatically tighten or loosen to provide a customized fit to the user's foot, a sensing module 103 detecting and analyzing terrain surface type beneath the user, a sole transformation arrangement change the sole configuration in real-time based on terrain conditions, a thermal sensor continuously monitor leg muscle behavior and detect muscle fatigue or stress during user, multiple pneumatic pins 104 coated with a soft rubberized material deliver targeted acupressure to the user's foot, a chain-based anti-slip arrangement enhance user grip on slippery terrain and multiple piezoelectric units convert pressure from the user's foot into electrical energy."
