MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105004 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'wearable scalp care device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Amita Arora; and Vishakha Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable scalp care device, comprising a wearable body 101 developed to be worn securely on a user's head and integrated with a pair of side straps 102 to securely clamp onto the user's head, a user-input interface to allow the user to provide commands for initiating, customizing, or controlling hair care operations, a network of sensors 104 measures scalp parameters including oiliness, dryness, temperature, pH, and volatile organic compounds, an herbal oil dispensing arrangement to selectively store and deliver herbal oils over the user's scalp, a plurality of roller-balls 112 mounted on cam tracks 113 along the sides of the body 101 for massaging the scalp, a flake extraction unit 115 for the suction of dandruff flakes, a scalp care arrangement to deliver controlled thermal and massage simulation, and a stress-relief arrangement configured to dispense specific essential oils in response to the user stress levels diagnosis."
