According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a wearable safety monitoring device (102) for enhancing safety of a manual scavenger working in a confined sanitation pit. The device (102) includes a compact wearable housing (104) adapted to be worn on a human body and sensors (106) for monitoring environmental and physiological conditions. A microcontroller (108) receives sensor signals, compares the signals with predefined threshold values, and generates an alert signal indicative of an unsafe condition. A wireless communication unit (110) transmits the alert signal to a remote receiver (112) located outside the sanitation pit. The device further includes a microphone (116) and a speaker (118) to enable two-way voice communication between the manual scavenger and supervisory or rescue personnel. An alert unit (114) generates an alarm in response to the alert signal. The device provides real-time monitoring, alerting, and communication to improve safety during sanitation operations."
