MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105027 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Rajpura, Punjab, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'wearable safety device for neurological and environmental protection.'

Inventor(s) include Satyajit Anand; Rajneesh Talwar; and Manvinder Sharma.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable safety device for neurological and environmental protection, comprises of a body 101 to be worn on a user's head, a pair of motorized ball-and-socket joints 102 equipped with a parallel jaw offset gripper 103 to securely grasp and hold an earpiece in alignment with the user's ears, a plurality of EEG (electroencephalogram) microelectrodes 201 mounted via extendible links 202 for continuous brainwave monitoring, a photoplethysmogram sensor 104 mounted via a rolling rod 105 to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and cardiovascular indicators, an alert unit 203 for notifying the user of abnormal brain and heart signals, an inertial measurement unit sensor to track head motion and orientation changes, a hollow cavity 107 housing inflatable protective fabric pockets 108 to cushion the head and neck portion of the user during falls, a curved protective shield 110 attached via motorized dump-truck style actuators 111 for UV protection."
