MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019428 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'wearable safety device for cutting eatables.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable safety device for cutting eatables, comprising a curve shaped plate 1 accommodated by a user over a finger portion and placed over an eatable, a C-shaped member 2 accommodating user's finger portion, a microphone 3 provide input voice commands regarding a type of cutting for actuating motorized cutter 4 to cut the stem portion, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 determines size of eatable and accordingly microcontroller actuates a pair of motorized hinge joints 10 for deploying a pair of curve shaped members 7, and a holographic projection unit 8 projecting a holographic image on eatable and based on projected image user is required to move the plate 1 over eatable that provides protection to the user's fingers."
