MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611023738 A) filed by Vivekananda Institute Of Professional Studies - Technical Campus, New Delhi, on Feb. 27, for 'wearable safety device.'
Inventor(s) include Smriti Sinha; and Dr. Nisha Chugh.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable safety device, comprises of a wearable body 101 worn on a user's wrist, a physiological sensor 102 integrated into the body 101, to monitor a physiological state of the user, a motion sensor 103 to monitor a movement pattern of the user, a force-sensitive resistor (FSR) array 105 to detect the emergency event, a magnetic break-link 108 to trigger the transmission of the alert when the body 101 is forcefully pulled or broken, a GSR (galvanic skin response) sensor and a thermistor 106, to detect the emergency event by classifying a distress state, a holographic projector 107 to display a human silhouette in response to detecting an unsafe environment and a communication module 104 comprising a Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) module and a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module, to form a localized mesh network with other devices when cellular coverage is poor."
