MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641007103 A) filed by Ifet College Of Engineering, Viluppuram, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 24, for 'wearable safety belt and shoe-integrated multi-trigger emergency alert and real-time location tracking system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An emergency alert and location tracking wearable system is disclosed comprising a wearable safety belt [102] having a panic button [104], a GSM module [106], a GPS module [108], one or more biometric sensors [110], a microcontroller [112], an insulated belt structure [124], and a power source [126], wherein upon receiving an emergency trigger the system transmits an emergency alert (SOS) with real-time location to predefined contacts. The emergency trigger is generated through at least one of manual actuation of the panic button [104], voice activation through a voice activation module [114] configured to detect a predefined keyword repeated a plurality of times, and a shoe-integrated device [118] comprising a foot-thumb nerve sensor [120] communicatively coupled to the belt [102] through a wireless communication module [116]. The biometric sensors [110] monitor heart rate and body temperature for distress indication, and a nearby-people evaluation module [122] performs weight and voice analysis."
