MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013485 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'wearable injury prevention device for toddlers.'
Inventor(s) include Priyanka Rawat.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable injury prevention device for toddlers comprises of a wearable body 1 developed to be worn by a toddler over a back portion of the user, a strap 2 assembled with body 1 for enabling a concerned person to secure body 1 on toddler, an imaging unit 3 for determining falling of toddler, an inflating unit 4 for inflating body 1 in order to protect toddler's back to prevent injury to toddler, a sensing module for detecting angle of body 1 along with presence of any obstacle in vicinity to toddler, a pair of telescopic rods 5 for providing stability to toddler while falling on surface, a moisture sensor for detecting presence of moisture on body 1 and a computing unit associated with device for notifying the person regarding the detected moisture."
