MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003463 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 17, 2024, for 'wearable health-monitoring device.'
Inventor(s) include Apoorva Sharma; Srinibas Pattanaik; Sartajvir Singh; and Gurwinder Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable health-monitoring device, comprises of a double-layered hollow cylindrical body 1 developed to be worn by a user on the finger, a touch interactive display panel 2 installed on the body 1 for providing input regarding tightening/loosening of the body 1, a motorized first and second pulley arrangement (3, 4) configured inside the right and left sides of the body 1, multiple pulleys integrated in the arrangements (3, 4) for translating a belt 5 arranged inside the body 1 for translating the body 1, plurality of motors configured with each of the arrangements (3, 4) to rotate the pulleys for coiling/uncoiling the belt 5 onto the pulleys, a sensing module integrated on inner periphery of body 1 for monitoring vital health parameters of the user."
