MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013546 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'wearable fire-extinguishing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable fire-extinguishing device, comprising a housing 1 positioned by user over back portion, a wearable body 2connected with the housing 1 for securing the housing 1 on user's shoulder position, a telescopically operated hollow frame 3 3attached with the housing 1 via a conduit a for extraction/retraction of the frame 3, a handle 4 for providing grip to the user for holding the frame 3, a thermal camera 5 assembled for capturing thermal images of surroundings of the user, a laser projection unit 6 for assisting the user to point the frame 3 towards the fire, a touch display panel mapped on the housing 1 for enabling the user to input details, an electric pump 9 attached with multi-sectioned reservoir 8 for dispensing the required type of extinguishing agent, an electronic nozzle 10 for dispensing the agent towards the fire and a battery for powering all the electrical components of the device."
