MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003995 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'wearable farm produce purchasing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable farm produce purchasing assistive device, comprises a wearable body 1 developed to be worn by a user over hand while purchasing shopping farm produce, a microphone 2 positioned on the body 1 to give voice commands regarding type of farm produce and amount of the farm produce to be purchased, a laser acuity sensor positioned on the wearable body 1 for detecting dimensions of the user's hand, an air compressor 3 paired with an inflatable member 4 equipped within the body 1 to inflate the member 4, a camera 5 mounted on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a laser projection unit 6 mounted on the body 1 for emitting laser projections on the user-defined farm produce in gripping the farm produce, and a speaker 7 mounted on the body 1 for notifying the user regarding collection of the user-defined amount of farm produce."
