MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011919 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'wearable farm produce chopping assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ajaya Kumar Behera.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable farm produce chopping assistive device, comprises of a V-shaped hollow body 101 constructed with a first and second hollow members 102 developed to be accommodated over hand of a user and free-end connected with each other via a hinge 103 for gripping the farm produce between the members 102, multiple laser sensors configured within each of the members 102 for detecting dimensions of the user's hand, an inflatable unit 104 paired with an air compressor 105 for inflating the unit 104 to secure the user's hand with the members 102, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 mounted on one of members 102 for dimensions of the farm produce, and a pair of vertical plates 112 installed with each of the members 102 via a pair of motorized sliders 107, for translating the plates 112 towards each other to grip the farm produce."
