MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002181 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'wearable elastography patch for non-invasive pcos screening.'

Inventor(s) include Palvi Soni; Chirag Sharma; and Dr. Navneet Kaur.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable elastography patch (100) for non-invasive monitoring of ovarian biomechanics and early detection of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The patch (100) includes miniature piezoelectric ultrasound transducers (102) that generate and detect shear and strain waves to measure ovarian stiffness and elasticity. A signal processing module (104) digitizes and filters the elastography signals, extracting biomechanical features for analysis. An AI-based engine (106) processes the data along with hormone biomarker readings to compute a PCOS risk score. A wireless communication module (108) transmits results to smartphones or cloud servers, and a power supply (110) ensures prolonged operation. The system (100) provides continuous, real-time ovarian monitoring, longitudinal tracking, and alerts for clinicians and patients, enabling early intervention and home-based care."
