According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to wearable device, system, and method for monitoring metabolic activity. The wearable device comprises a printed circuit board (PCB) 200 that comprises one or more light sources 202 and one or more light detectors 204 disposed across the PCB 200. Each of one or more light sources 202 being configured to emit a plurality of optical signals each having a respective particular wavelength towards tissue region. The plurality of optical signals are emitted at distinct time instances within predefined time window. The one or more light detectors 204 are configured to detect plurality of attenuated optical signals of the respective particular wavelength being scattered from tissue region and convert the plurality of attenuated optical signals into a plurality of corresponding electrical signals. The PCB 200 comprises control unit 206 configured to receive the plurality of corresponding electrical signals and transmit to computing device."
