MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056131 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on June 11, for 'wearable device and method for displaying multimedia content provided by external electronic device.'
Inventor(s) include Nam, Myoungwoo; Son, Dongil; and Lee, Bona.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A processor of a wearable device according to an embodiment may identify an external electronic device on the basis of a first object in an image obtained using a camera. The processor may request information for displaying multimedia content being provided via the external electronic device, from the external electronic device via a communication circuit on the basis of the identification. The processor may display a second object for notifying that the external electronic device is selectable, in association with the first object in response to reception of, via the communication circuit, the information transmitted from the external electronic device. The processor may display the multimedia content obtained from the external electronic device via a display according to the information on the basis of whether a user input for the first object is detected."
