MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441016605 A) filed by NT Labs Pvt. Ltd., Vadakara, Kerala, on Sept. 7, 2024, for 'wearable device and method for detecting bio-signals within wearable device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a wearable device (100). The device (100) includes at least one sensing unit (104) which is configured to detect bio-signals from skin contacting area of a user. The at least one sensing unit (104) includes at least one photosensitive element, at least one light source, and at least one electrode. The at least one photosensitive element (106) is configured to detect an optical signal and generate one or more electrical signals. The at least one light source (110) operatively coupled to the at least one photosensitive element (106), is configured to generate the light-based signals. The at least one electrode (108) is configured to detect the one or more electrical signals. The at least one photosensitive element (106), the at least one light source (110), and the at least one electrode (108) are arranged in an array."
