The device (100) includes at least one sensing unit (104) which is configured to detect bio-signals from skin contacting area of a user. The at least one photosensitive element (106) is configured to detect an optical signal and generate one or more electrical signals. The at least one light source (110) operatively coupled to the at least one photosensitive element (106), is configured to generate the light-based signals. The at least one electrode (108) is configured to detect the one or more electrical signals. The at least one photosensitive element (106), the at least one light source (110), and the at least one electrode (108) are arranged in an array."
