MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024655 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'waterproofing assistive device for roofs.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Prateek Verma; and Rajiv Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A waterproofing assistive device for roofs, comprising a body 1 having multiple links 2 integrated with pivot joints arranged with plurality of castor wheels to provide a controlled crawling movement to the body 1 over a roof surface of an elevated structure, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to determine deposition of dust on the surface, a multi-sectioned chamber 4 arranged on the body 1 to dispense an appropriate quantity of a cleaning liquid on the surface, multiple rotatable brushes 5 arranged on the body 1 to rotate for providing a scrubbing movement to the surface in view of cleaning the surface and a speaker 6 installed on the body 1 to produce audio signals for notifying a user to re-fill the chamber 4."
