MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113446 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'waterbody cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A waterbody cleaning device, comprising a mobile housing 101 with sliding door 102 enabling access to interior of housing 101, multi-section chamber 105 disposed in housing 101, stored with plurality of mesh sheets and fixing pins, mesh installation unit 106 comprising pair of slidable articulated telescopic grippers 107 attached with housing 101 to grip and position mesh sheets along boundary of waterbody to minimize soil erosion, a presser 109 installed with housing 101 to affix sheet with ground surface, a weed remover 118 attached with housing 101 to remove weeds from waterbody, a cleaning unit 122 installed with housing 101 to remove debris from water-body, a multi-part compartment 125 provided in housing 101 to collect waste, a camera 126 mounted on housing 101 to determine presence of debris in waterbody, a sensing unit 127 installed with housing 101 by means of articulated extendable pole 128 to detect pollutants in waterbody."
