MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087316 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'water-tap management device.'

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water-tap management device, comprising an elongated body 1 configured with a C-shaped member 2 positioned on handle of the water tap, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 synced with an ultrasonic sensor detects dimension of handle of the tap, a pulley expansion arrangement 12 to increase/decrease size of member 2 according to detected dimension of handle, a suction cup 5 to make grip with the surface, a microphone 6 accessed by a user to input commands regarding opening/closing of the tap, a slider crank arrangement 13 integrated with the member 2 to rotate in order to open/close the tap, a sound sensor to detect level of sound in surrounding, a gesture detection sensor to detect gesture provided by the user, a touch sensor to detect touch of tap by the user, an UV sanitization unit 8 to emit UV radiation to sanitize the tap."
