MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079712 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'water pipe handling assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water pipe handling assistive device, comprising a wearable body 1 and configured with a primary ring 2 to accommodate a water pipe and a secondary ring 3 installed on body 1, a microphone 4 mapped on body 1 for feeding commands regarding an amount of water to be dispensed from a nozzle, a camera 5 mounted on body 1 for detecting dimensions of user's hand, an air compressor paired with an inflatable member equipped with body 1 for inflating member for securing body 1 over user's hand, a laser acuity sensor mapped on primary ring 2 for detecting diameter of pipe, a motorized iris lid 6 embedded within primary ring 2 to close for gripping pipe, a flow sensor mapped on secondary ring 3 for detecting flow rate of water, and an iris aperture 7 configured within secondary ring 3 to close for preventing further dispension of water."
