MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537086270 A) filed by Air Ip Holdings Limited, Dubai, U.A.E., on Sept. 11, for 'water pipe.'
Inventor(s) include Dawson, Paul; Brown, Thomas; and Stafford, Jon.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water pipe is disclosed as having a heating chamber for vaporising a consumable product in use. A coolant reservoir in the form of a water tank is provided for cooling the vapourised consumable product. An inlet allows air into the heating chamber and an outlet is provided through which a user can inhale the vaporised smoking product. The outlet is downstream of the coolant reservoir in a flow pathway through the water pipe from the inlet through the heating chamber and coolant reservoir to the outlet. The air pathway has a second air inlet to provide air into the air pathway at a point between the inlet and the outlet and an adjustment mechanism for the second air inlet. The second air inlet may be at a hose or mouthpiece connected to the outlet. The second air inlet could be in a purge valve assembly or at a mouth of the coolant reservoir. A vapour conduit extends from the heating chamber to the water reservoir. A non-return valve in the form of a float valve may be provided to prevent backflow of water up the conduit. A thermal insulator or break may be configured to thermally isolate at least a portion of vapour conduit from the heating chamber."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 20, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IB2024/051617.
