Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Water Filter And Method Of Making The Same' Filed by A. O. Smith Corporation

MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090434 A) filed by A. O. Smith Corporation, Milwaukee, U.S.A., on Sept. 22, for 'water filter and method of making the same.'

Inventor(s) include Hou, Yizhi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of making a water filter includes formulating a solution comprising a polymer, an adsorbent, and a first solvent, the polymer being soluble in the first solvent, casting the solution onto a substrate to form a thin film, dissolving the first solvent in a second solvent to precipitate the polymer out of solution, removing the thin film from the substrate, and rolling the thin film to form a cylindrical filter."
