MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004412 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 22, 2024, for 'water container holding and dispensing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water container holding and dispensing device, comprising a U-shaped frame 1 developed to be positioned by user on a ground surface by means of suction cup 13, a pair of C-shaped slots 3 for accommodating a neck and body portion of a water container for actuating a motorized clamp 4 for gripping neck and body portion, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 determines positioning and size of container's mouth portion for direction a pneumatically operated hollow column 6 to extend for positioning U-shaped hollow member 7, a touch interactive display panel 8 accessed by user to input details regarding a quantity of water for directing a motorized sliding arrangement 9 for providing movement to container to tilt, and an ultrasonic sensor for detecting positioning of a in proximity to container for actuating an electronic nozzle 10 for dispensing a user specified quantity of water inside glass."
