MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010045 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'waste discard management device.'
Inventor(s) include Sohal Lal.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A waste discard management device, comprising a platform 1 arranged with pair of vertical rectangular frame 2 via a pair of telescopic rods 3, developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple hooks 4 are configured with frame 2 utilized for manually installing polybags in which waste items are to discarded, a touch enabled display screen 5 for enabling user to enter details regarding dimension of polybags, a camera 7 mounted on platform 1 captures images of frame 2 to detect successful installation of polybag over hooks 4, multiple robotic clippers 8 configured on frames 2 via motorized slider 9 to grip an opening of polybag in secure manner, a laser projector 10 installed on frame 2 to project a virtual light on one of polybag in accordance with type of garbage item user is discarding and a heating unit 11 installed with clippers 8 for sealing of polybag."
