MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007818 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'waste collection device for public places.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a waste collection device for public places, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple telescopic rods 2 provides support to body 1 on ground surface, a proximity sensor installed on body 1 for detecting distance between user and body 1, a multi-sectioned chamber 4 attached inside body 1 for storing different type of waste collection bags, a touch interactive display panel 5 installed on body 1 for enabling user to input type of waste that user desire to collect inside the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 7 installed on body 1 for determining successful picking of waste, and a weight sensor installed inside container 9 for detecting quantity of dropped waste."
