MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611051941 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on April 23, for 'waste collection and segregation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A waste collection and segregation device, comprising a mobile platform 101, a plurality of motorized wheel 102 supported by a pneumatic rod 103 to assist the platform 101 in moving smoothly and stably across uneven, slippery, or debris filled surfaces, a thermal imaging camera 106 to detect heat signatures, a sealed chemical container 108 for storing a neutralizing solution, a suction pump 111 to extract contaminated wastewater from chemical industry waste zones and deliver it into the sealed storage container 112, a waste collection pan 115 to collect waste from designated zones or bins, a segregated chamber 118 to receive collected waste prior to sorting, a plurality of motorized rollers 119 to circulate and evenly distribute collected waste, a pick and place gripper 120 m to collect specific waste items and transfer them, and a speaker module 130 to provide audible warnings and operational prompts to workers in proximity."
