MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006208 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'wall construction assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Harpreet Kaur Toor; Dr. Parveen Kumar; Dr. Manish Kumar; Pallavi; and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wall construction assistive device comprises of a pair of cuboidal hollow bodies 1 associated with the developed to be placed over a first and second portion of a wall under-construction, a plate 2 that is placed in contact with a first side of a brick of the wall, a camera 3 for detecting width of the brick, an electromagnetic spring 6 to compress for pulling the rod 5 within the bodies 1 in view of positioning the member 4 in contact with a second side of the brick, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between the bodies 1, a motorized roller 7 to unwrap a suitable length of a string wrapped on the roller 7, a speaker 8 for notifying a user to engage a hook with a ring 9 for checking alignment of the bricks, and a holographic projection unit 10 for projecting a hologram to accurately orient the bricks to allow construction of a straight wall."
