MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019774 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'walking assistive device for toddlers.'

Inventor(s) include Rishabh Chitranshi; Aniket Kumar; Vinit Vishnoi; and R. P. Agarwal.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A walking assistive device for toddlers, comprises of an extendable body 1 configured with a handle 2 attached at proximal portion of body 1 clasped by a user, a wheel 3 attached at distal portion to maneuver the body 1, a moisture sensor to detect sweatening in user's hand, an air blower to dry-up the sweat, a motorized roller 4 wrapped with a strap 5 to rotate on axis for unwrapping the strap 5 that is looped around the toddler to provide a support to the toddler while walking, an artificial intelligence based camera 6 mounted over the body 1 to detect height of the toddler, in accordance with the user's height and a ball and socket joint interlinked in between the proximal and distal portion to allow the user to move the proximal potion of the body 1."
