MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517046772 A) filed by Pedestrian Safety Solutions, Llc, New York, on May 15, for 'visual front alert system.'

Inventor(s) include Schaye, Paul L.; and Miller, Robert H.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A visual front alert system (10) attached to a vehicle windshield (2) for instructing observers as to movement of the vehicle. A strip shaped body (12) incorporates a plurality of illuminating elements (14) communicating with a PC board assembly (PCBA (18)). An accelerometer (20) connected to the PCBA, with a power supply operating the accelerometer and PCBA. In response to a determined acceleration of the structure, the accelerometer inputting a signal to the PCBA representative of the vehicle movement and the PCBA in turn providing an output signal causing illuminating elements (14) to generate a visual output corresponding to said input signal. The visual output further includes a first output representative of a steady or accelerating motion of the vehicle and a second output further representative of a decelerating or braking condition of the vehicle."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 31, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/061638.
