MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004064 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'visiting card storage device.'

Inventor(s) include Sundeep Singh Saini.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a visiting card storage device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 crafted with an inlet 2 for enabling user to insert and place a stack of visiting card over a tray 7 attached inside body 1, a weight sensor installed on tray 7 for detecting placement of cards on tray 7, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed inside body 1 for determining content written on cards for evaluating category of visiting card, a touch interactive display panel 5 installed on body 1 accessed by user for entering details regarding specific category that user desire to store together based on which microcontroller directs a robotic gripper 6 installed inside body 1 for picking and arranging cards inside a multi-sectioned chamber 10 arranged within body 1."
