MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014263 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'vessel holding device.'
Inventor(s) include Ramandeep Deorda; Ravinder Singh; Gurjesh Singh Chib; and Dheeraj Kumar Gautam.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vessel holding device, comprises of a pair of extendable semi-cylindrical members 1 developed to be arranged in a manner for forming a casing around a vessel to be carried, a motorized hinge enables opening and closing of the casing as per requirement of the user, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 to determine the presence of the vessel, an laser measurement sensor to determine dimensions of the vessel, a motorized clamp 10 to affix the members 1 with a fork of a two wheeler in view of carrying the accommodated vessel and grips the fork, a dust sensor to determine presence of dust over the vessel, multiple electronically operated nozzles 4 to dispense a regulated mount of water over the vessel in order to clean the vessel, and a telescopic gripper 6 to grip cap of the vessel for providing stability to the vessel during travel."
