MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411009846 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 13, 2024, for 'vertical transportation device for building floors.'
Inventor(s) include Manish Joshi; and Sunil Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vertical transportation device for building floors, comprises of a body 1 configured with a platform 2 to accommodate a user along with multiple commodities that are to be transported, a touch enabled screen 3 to allow user to input regarding floor of building, an artificial intelligence camera 4 for detecting position of commodities positioned over platform 2, a L-shaped telescopic rod 6 to extend while loading of commodities as well as user, a suction cup 7 establishing a grip in between body 1 and surface, a bar 8 configured with multiple links pivoted with a motorized gear to slide links in upward direction for moving platform 2, a pair of C-shaped plate 9 via pair of motorized pivot joints to provide an angular movement to plates for securing user over platform 2, and a flap 10 via a motorized hinge to deploy plate 9 in level of platform 2."
