MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010777 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'vehicle wheel replacement device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Hardeep Singh; Sambhav Bedi; and Chandan Choudhary.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle wheel replacement device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a surface configured with multiple wheels 2 for maneuvering the platform 1, am artificial intelligence based image capturing module 3 for detecting positioning of vehicle's wheel that is to be replaced, a laser sensor for detecting ground clearance of the vehicle, a scissor lift arrangement 4 installed on the platform 1 for lifting a specific portion of the vehicle to be replaced, a pair of robotic arms 7 installed on the platform 1 for detaching the wheel from axle of the vehicle and the new wheel is installed within the vehicle via arms and a wrench 6 configured on the platform 1."
