MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018006 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'vehicle tire changing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Tapapriya Mahanta.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle tire changing device, comprising a rectangular base 101 and a rectangular platform 105 interconnected via an L-shaped telescopic arm 107 and positioned on ground surface, an imaging unit 115 installed on platform 105 determine tire position, four motorized omnidirectional primary wheels 102 translate base 101 underneath vehicle, a hydraulic pusher 103 provided underneath base 101 and a motorized screw jack 104 installed on upper surface of base 101 lift vehicle, four motorized omnidirectional secondary wheels 106 translate platform 105 in front of tire, a pair of rollers 108 attached on platform 105 via a sliding unit 109 positioning rollers 108 under tire for free rotation of tire, an L-shaped telescopic link 110 attached on platform 105 position a motorized ratchet 112 for unfastening tire fasteners, a telescopic gripper 113 installed on platform 105 remove unfastened fastener and place in a chamber 114 provided on platform 105."
