MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514078863 A) filed by Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd., Aichi, Japan, on Aug. 20, 2025, for 'vehicle table apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Tomoko Yamada; Yuhki Ichikawa; and Makoto Sato.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle table apparatus includes a base provided at a boundary between occupant spaces corresponding to two vehicle seats arranged side by side, an elongated top plate provided to cover an upper portion of the base, and a rotation support portion. The rotation 5 support portion is configured to rotate the top plate relative to the base between a stowed position and a deployed position. The deployed position is a rotational position of the top plate at which a dimension of the top plate in an arrangement direction of the two vehicle seats is longer than that at the stowed position, and a rotational position of the top plate at which opposite ends of the top plate in the arrangement direction are located further outward 10 in the arrangement direction than at the stowed position."
