MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531017970 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'vehicle skid mark protective device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Saroj Kumar Acharya.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle skid mark protective device, comprises of a pair of curved rectangular plates 101 attached with one another by means of springs 102 for absorption of impact force, a rectangular flap 106 attached with the plate 101 by means of a hydraulic pusher 107 for pushing the vehicle out from a pothole, a pair of telescopic grippers 108 attached at an upper edge of the plate 101 by means of a hinges for holding of goods, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 109, in synchronization with an ultrasonic sensor embedded in the plate 101 to determine gap between ground surface and the vehicle surface and foreign object which may collide with the vehicle, a microphone 110 for receiving an audio command regarding pushing the vehicle from a pot holes, and a touch-enabled display unit 111 provided on the plate 101 to provide touch input regarding checking ground clearance."
