MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014319 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'vehicle security device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tarun; Dr. Deepak; Rohit Kumar Yadav; and Raja Priyanshu.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle security device, comprising a U-shaped extendable frame 1 positioned around each of wheel of a vehicle, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 2 determines dimension of wheel, an electromagnet locks ends of frame 1, a laser sensor determines thickness of wheel, a sliding unit 3 slides lateral sides to grip wheel firmly, a tactile sensor determines hardness of surface, multiple suction units 4 grips surface for preventing vehicle to move, a finger print scanner 5 installed on frame 1 and accessed by user for authentication and in case of successful authentication the electromagnets gets de-actuated for unlocking frame 1 and in case of unsuccessful authentication of user an alarming unit 6 which is installed on frame 1 alerts people present in surroundings of vehicle."
