MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514087521 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation; and Ts Tech Co. Ltd., Shizuoka, Japan, on Sept. 15, 2025, for 'vehicle seat structure.'
Inventor(s) include Kazuya Taniguchi; Toshiyuki Konishi; and Tatsuya Okubo.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a vehicle seat structure capable of preventing liquid from flowing to a connecting part on a lateral surface of a seating part of a seat. A vehicle seat structure 100 includes a seat 102 of a vehicle, connectors C3 and C2 that are disposed on a rear surface 112 of a seating part 104 of the seat 102 and to which with a predetermined harness 152 is connected, and an overhang part 140 extending outward of the connectors C3 and C2 from a position above the connectors C3 and C2 on the seating part 104 and forming a free end."
