MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514029026 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on March 27, for 'vehicle rear bumper structure.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a vehicle rear bumper structure capable of protecting the reflector in the event of, for example, a minor rear-end collision. A vehicle rear bumper structure 100 includes a garnish member 112 to which a sonar 110 is attached, the garnish member 112 being installed below a 10 reflector 108 in a rear bumper 102. The garnish member 112 has a garnish design part 114 exposed from the rear bumper 102 as viewed from the rear of the vehicle, and a sonar attachment part 116 to which the sonar 110 is attached, the sonar attachment part 116 being located at a predetermined 15 location on the garnish design part 114. The rear end in the front and back directions relative to the vehicle of the garnish member 112 is located rearward, relative to the vehicle, of the rear end in the front and back directions relative to the vehicle of the reflector 108."
