MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014292 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'vehicle mobility assistive system for uneven surfaces.'

Inventor(s) include Ramandeep Deorda; Ravinder Singh; Dheeraj Kumar Gautam; and Gurjesh Singh Chib.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An vehicle mobility assistive system for uneven surfaces, comprises of a flexible cuboidal body 1 stored with plurality of gravels developed to be installed on a bumper portion of a vehicle, plurality of suction unit 2 for affixing the body 1, a telescopic rod 3 for positioning a tactile sensor on the snowy surface, pair of iris holes 4 crafted on lateral ends of the body 1 for dispensing the evaluated amount of gravels on the surface, a hollow telescopic pole 5 installed in continuation of the iris holes 4 for extending and positioning mouth portion of the pole 5 ahead to the wheels, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 installed on the body 1 for determining the presence of potholes lying ahead of the vehicle, and an inlet 7 through which gravels is poured into the body 1."
