MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024153 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'vehicle engine holding assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Mastan Khan; Hira Singh; Sarabjit Singh; Kushdeep Rana; and Sahil Sharma.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle engine holding assistive device comprises a platform 1 positioned on ground surface within a vehicle repairing workshop and installed with a plate 2, a touch enabled screen 3 is installed on the platform 1 for enabling a user input, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on the platform 1 detect height of the user, a motorized scissor arrangement 5 integrated in between the platform 1 and plate 2 for lifting and positioning the plate 2 at an optimum height from the surface, a circular member 6 arranged on the plate 2 and configured with plurality of suction units 7 for affixing the engine with the plate 2, multiple motorized clippers 8 are arranged on the member for acquiring a grip over the engine, and plurality of telescopically operated rods 9 positioning a curved shaped flap 10 attached in contact with the accommodated engine."
