MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544017366 A) filed by Mitsui Kinzoku Act Corporation, Kanagawa, Japan, on Feb. 27, for 'vehicle door latch device.'
Inventor(s) include Taga Takao.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle door latch device has a body, a latch supported by the body on a one surface side of the body, a switch detecting a state of a vehicle door, and a lever supported by the body on the other surface side of the body and rotating along with rotation of the latch to switch the switch. The lever includes a latch abutment portion protruding from the other surface side to the one surface side through a through hole provided in the body and abutting on the latch along with the rotation of the latch to rotate the lever, and a switch pressing portion pressing the switch along with the rotation of the lever to switch the switch. The latch abutment portion and the switch pressing portion are disposed on one side in an entry direction of the striker with respect to a shaft portion."
