MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073365 A) filed by Illinois Tool Works Inc., Glenview, U.S.A., on Sept. 27, 2024, for 'vehicle door handle assemblies.'
Inventor(s) include Chitali Vettukad Azhagarswami, Arun; Kuniyil, Nidhin; Payannavar, Virupaxi; and Jaishankar, Anandraj.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle door handle assembly (100) comprises a frame (104), a handle (106), a bell crank (114), a push-push mechanism (118), an actuator (116), and a connection component (126). Actuation of the handle (106) at a first 5 longitudinal end (108) thereof corresponds to a first motion transfer mechanism with two-way transfer of motion between the actuator (116) and the bell crank (114) through the connection component (126). Actuation of the handle (106) at a second longitudinal end (110) thereof corresponds to a second motion transfer mechanism with no transfer of motion between the 10 actuator (116) and the bell crank (114) due to disengagement of the connection component (126) from the bell crank (114). The first motion transfer mechanism and the second motion transfer mechanism are to cause movement of the handle (106) to the first operational position from the second operational position."
