MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092510 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 26, for 'vehicle control system and vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Nakagawara Masaki; and Nose Tsubasa.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention makes it possible for a vehicle to quickly accelerate in response to a driving instruction from an occupant, and improves operability in the vehicle. A control system CTR controls a motorcycle (1) equipped with a motor (311) that serves as a drive source, a rear wheel RW that is driven by the motor (311), and an Rr brake unit (62) that can cause the rear wheel RW to generate a friction braking force. The motor (311) can cause the rear wheel RW to generate a driving force or a regenerative braking force. The control system CTR is configured to be able to control the motor (311) and the Rr brake unit (62), and, when there is a driving instruction from a rider RD of the motorcycle (1), causes the rear wheel RW to generate a regenerative braking force and/or a friction braking force and then to generate a driving force."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 06, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008574.
