MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091966 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 25, for 'vehicle control system and saddle-type vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Nakagawara Masaki; and Nose Tsubasa.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides: a vehicle control system that stabilizes steering when a saddle-type vehicle will change to or has changed to a tilted state; and a saddle-type vehicle. An electronic control unit ECU of a motorcycle (1), which serves as embodiment of a saddle-type vehicle provided with a brake unit (61) capable of braking a front wheel FW in response to a braking operation by a rider, determines, on the basis of a detected value from an inertial measurement unit IMU, that a body frame of the motorcycle (1) will change to or has changed to a tilted state, and executes suppression control to suppress reductions of braking force in the brake unit (61) when it has been determined, on the basis of a detected value from a brake fluid pressure sensor Se2, that the braking force of the brake unit (61) will decrease."
