According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem to be Solved] It is to provide a vehicle control device capable of preventing, when a vehicle is used as a stationary battery, a standby power from being unnecessarily consumed. [Solution] A BMC includes a vehicle mode to cause a vehicle to function as a travel vehicle, and a battery mode to cause the vehicle to function as a stationary battery. During the battery mode, the BMC stops a function for the vehicle as the travel vehicle. The function includes diagnose and fail-safe functions for a predetermined abnormality. During the battery mode, the BMC stops the diagnose and fail-safe functions to use, as an input information, a result of whether predetermined electric components which relate to a vehicle travel function are detached. The BMC allows a transition to the battery mode (step S4) if the predetermined electric component(s) is detached ("YES" at step S2)."
