MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514065043 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on July 8, 2025, for 'vehicle console box.'
Inventor(s) include Nakamura Ichiro; and Tajima Ryo.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle console box (1) includes: a console box main body (9) including a storage portion (10); a top board (12) attached to cover an upper portion of the console box main body, and including a recessed portion (13) recessed in a downward direction; and a tray (16) fitted downward into the recessed portion from above, to cover the top board (12). The top board includes frictional fixing piece receiving holes (19) provided in the recessed portion. The tray includes frictional fixing pieces (18) provided at positions to be inserted into the respective frictional fixing piece receiving holes when the tray is fitted into the top board. The console box main body includes an operation hole (20) provided at a position enabling a rod body (37) inserted to push the frictional fixing pieces upward, thereby enabling to detach the try easily."
