MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621022826 A) filed by Ve Commercial Vehicles Ltd., Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on Feb. 26, for 'variable alternator loading device.'

Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Dubey; Gangesh Yadav; and Saurabh Chaturvedi.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A variable alternator loading device (100) is disclosed. The variable alternator loading device (100) comprises a variable resistive load module (200) operatively coupled to an alternator, a plurality of resistive load elements (202) arranged to provide discrete load levels across the current range, a plurality of electrically actuated contactors being selectively actuable to vary an electrical load applied to the alternator, a programmable logic controller communicatively is configured to selectively energize the plurality of electrically actuated contactors to achieve a desired alternator load, a control interface (102) configured to receive load cycle parameters defining one or more load percentages and corresponding time durations, an output module (104) electrically to monitor alternator operating parameters. The programmable logic controller to execute fully programmable alternator load test cycles by dynamically varying the resistive load."
